Here are 4 top San Francisco events to attend in July and August:

1. Independence Day Celebration at PIER 39–July 4
Every year on July 4, people from around the Bay Area and beyond flock to PIER 39 for an afternoon of music and fun in a festive, outdoor atmosphere. Those who stay on into the evening watch one of the best fireworks displays around–right over the beautiful San Francisco Bay.

2. America’s Cup–July 4-September 21
A big summer of yacht racing begins on July 4 and concludes on September 21. In addition to attending races, there will be daily concerts at America’s Cup Village at Marina Green and multiple opportunities to be at the center of the action at America’s Cup Park along San Francisco’s Embarcadero.

3. Fillmore Jazz Festival–July 6-7
Annually, the Fillmore Jazz Festival brings wonderful jazz and cuisine to over 100,000 attendees. With wonderful acts such as the Contemporary Jazz Orchestra and the John Santos Sextet, the Fillmore Jazz Festival is a great way to enjoy an inexpensive weekend out in San Francisco filled with music, culture, and more.

4. Outside Lands Festival–August 9-11
Now in its fifth year, the Outside Lands Festival is Golden Gate Park’s premier music festival. Over the course of three days, attendees enjoy the best in indie rock as well as classic acts from decades past. Outside Lands also offers food and beverages from some of the best vendors around, so come hungry too!
