12. When and how will I get my Whale Tail plate?
If you ordered regular numbered plates, the DMV will mail your new Whale Tail plate to the address on your DMV vehicle record in 4 to 6 weeks. If you ordered a personalized Whale Tail plate, the DMV will notify you by mail when they are ready to be picked up at your local DMV office, usually about 8-12 weeks after your order.
